BASIC INFO: All classes are limited to six students to ensure individual attention, so make sure to reserve your spot early. There will be a waiting list created for filled classes. WORKSHOPS
Workshops occur on a monthly basis and are geared toward completing a specific project in a one- or two-day period.

Photo Transfer & Collage Photo Transfer & Collage

Learn the technique of transferring photos and other images to a canvas medium and experiment with collage and embellishment using found objects. A great workshop to get your creative juices flowing!

Mosaic Tile Mosaic Tile

Turn that funky old planter or small piece of furniture into Art! Learn how to properly prepare surfaces and apply designs using tile and found objects.

Punched Tin Punched Tin

This class focuses on preparing tin for punching/piercing, developing a successful design and transferring it to the metal and the proper use and care of basic tools.

Ceramic Fish Ceramic Fish

A great class to pick up basic clay techniques and exercise your imagination!

Poetry On Clay Poetry On Clay

Embed your favorite poem in a permanent work of art, created by you.

Jewelry Making Jewelry Making

Learn basic, non-soldered jewelry techniques to create one-of-a-kind pieces.

Chair Painting Chair Painting

Revive a funky old chair using a variety of techniques to make functional art for your home or garden. Bring in your own chair or purchase one from THE STUDIO.

Watercolor Watercolor

Capture your surroundings on paper in a loose and fun workshop using watercolor and ink.

New and unique workshops are being created at THE STUDIO all the time. Keep a lookout at our calendar for seasonal workshops (like the Sugar Skull workshop in October). If there is a workshop you’d like to attend that isn’t listed on the calendar, call us and make a request.

 

CLASSES
The classes offered at THE STUDIO can last several days to a few weeks, depending on the class. Students can take advantage of open studio time outside of class time to work on projects. Contact THE STUDIO to find out more about classes, availability and current schedules.

Sandcasting In Bronze Sandcasting In Bronze

An introduction to casting small, found objects and hand-crafted wax sculptures in bronze.

Raku Raku

Raku is a firing method in which glazed pots are pulled hot out of the kiln with tongs and placed in a container of combustible material to produce a black clay body and unusual, sometimes metallic glazes.

These classes focus on the use of clay to make functional and/or sculptural forms.
